About this resource

Today, technology is an integral part of our personal and professional lives. In every profession, in every sector, they have become an integral part of our daily lives, requiring us to master new tools and acquire new skills. It also opens us up to the wide range of possibilities offered by big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics…

The challenge: to understand the world around us, but also to better grasp societal and technological issues.

These requirements have not escaped the attention of higher education establishments. To train the managers, engineers, entrepreneurs and leaders of tomorrow, a core of tech skills and knowledge is now integrated into training courses. A foundation that does not ignore ethical issues and, above all, soft skills. The more important tech becomes, the more we need citizens who are enlightened, autonomous, adaptable, able to work in groups with other profiles and other skills… Profiles that companies are now snapping up.

And it is indeed the purpose of this white book to trace a thread between singular career paths and constantly evolving curricula, skills learned and those deployed in a professional context. To achieve this, a dozen journalists interviewed students, alumni, professors, researchers, entrepreneurs, educational engineers, HR managers, associations… All of which gave an insight into the richness and complexity of the subject. And the major stakes it holds for the future of humanity.
